Calciment® LKD, or lime kiln dust, is a fine powder containing a unique combination of calcium oxide (CaO), magnesium oxide (MgO) and pozzolans. With similar attributes to quicklime and Portland cement, Calciment lime kiln dust is an effective reagent for drying, modifying, and stabilizing soils, sediments, sludges and waste streams.

Calciment LKD Production
Lime kiln dust (LKD) is a co-product of the lime manufacturing process. It begins when limestone, which has been crushed and sized, is heated in a kiln at extremely high temperatures to produce a reactive oxide. This process, known as calcination, forms quicklime (CaO) and fine particles of lime kiln dust.
Calciment LKD is a bulk dry powder containing a mix of calcium oxide (CaO), magnesium oxide (MgO) and pozzolans. Like quicklime, Calciment LKD reacts with moisture, and needs to be handled properly from production to the point of application. Calciment LKD is available in a variety of packaging options to meet your jobsite requirements including pneumatic or dump bulk truck loads, supersacks, rail or barge. Calciment LKD is a versatile alkali (high pH) product commonly used for drying, modifying, solidifying, and fixating material.
